Strengthen Women and Children (SWC) is non-governmental organization founded and officially registered in Somalia in 2022 under the laws of the Federal Republic of Somalia. With a global outlook and a strong local footprint, SWC was established in response to the urgent and growing need to promote the rights, protection, and empowerment of women and children—two groups disproportionately affected by poverty, conflict, and systemic exclusion, particularly in fragile and crisis-affected contexts.

SWC is guided by a deep commitment to advancing human dignity, promoting social justice, and creating inclusive, resilient communities. We achieve this through a strategic and integrated approach across six key programmatic focus areas:
Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment
Our gender-focused programming promotes equal access to education, economic opportunities, leadership roles, and decision-making spaces.
Economic Development & Livelihood
We support youth, women, and marginalized groups in accessing income-generating opportunities and contributing to local economic growth.
Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights
We champion the sexual and reproductive health rights of adolescents, women, and marginalized populations by improving access to comprehensive SRHR education, services, and information
Health & Psychosocial Support
We provide integrated health services and psychosocial support to individuals and communities affected by crisis, poverty, or trauma.
Child Protection & Education
We implement holistic interventions aimed at safeguarding children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence while ensuring access to quality, inclusive education.
Legal & Policy Advocacy
We engage in legal and policy advocacy that amplifies the voices of underserved populations and holds duty bearers accountable.
